Are you thinking about throwing a bridal shower? Not every bride truly wants one. Some brides think they are terribly old fashioned and just a bit corny. Besides if you really have all of the household items that you already need, you may feel a little silly asking your friends for even more gifts. You’re already getting wedding gifts – so why ask for even more? For brides that don’t want to have a bridal shower they have plenty of options. You should do something to celebrate your wedding. Brides traditionally have a bridal shower to celebrate their time as brides before their wedding. So if you don’t have a bridal shower, consider having some other type of celebration. It will be lots of fun for you and your girlfriends!

A spa day can be an ideal choice instead of a bridal shower. This is a great day to treat and pamper all of you before the wedding. There are so many different services you can have on a spa day. Try getting luxuriant massages. Or facials. Or get manicures and pedicures. You’ll soon see that there are lots of yummy services that you can enjoy with your friends and family instead of having a bridal shower. This is a great way of celebrating your wedding. Some brides that have a spa day wind up receiving bridal shower gifts and doing part of a bridal shower day as part of their spa day. But this can be very unique and special. Typically this spa day has fewer guests attending it than the traditional bridal shower. A spa day will have less than twenty guests while some bridal showers can have fifty guests or even more than that. So there are some things to consider if you plan a spa day – especially if you have some wedding guests that are expecting to come to your bridal shower.

Another alternative can be a crafts afternoon or day. There are many centers where you can make your own jewelry or pottery or other types of crafts. Instead of having a typical bridal shower you can invite guests to make their own crafts for fun. Again many brides have adapted this so they wind up receiving wedding gifts and playing some bridal shower games. This can be a fun, creative way to celebrate a wedding. Another alternative that is creative and crafty can be a wedding favor making party. This is where bridesmaids and other female friends and relatives get together to make the wedding favors for the wedding. This can be a lot of fun. Some brides have elected to do this in addition to a bridal shower. Other brides have chosen to do this instead of a bridal shower. What is most important is that brides have fun at their bridal showers or at their alternatives to bridal showers. Everyone deserves to celebrate their wedding.
